Capabilities & Services

Intec Automation, Inc. has mastered the core capabilities required to be a world class machine builder. Our expertise in these capabilities enables us to include the following services with each project and execute them with the highest degree of success.

Our Applications and Sales Engineers are experts at meeting and solving unique manufacturing challenges. With over 20 years of projects under our belts, we have a proven track record of providing solutions for even the most challenging applications. Collaboration with you, our customer, is essential to determine the best concept for your project. The Project Manager that we assign at this stage ensures continuity between conception of the idea and its full design. Once we have worked with you to identify the best solution, we present our concept and project proposal which becomes the basis for doing business and ultimate project success.

Our concept development process typically includes:

  • Customer Site Visits
  • Web Conferences for project review and preliminary design proposals.
  • Brainstorming followed by Idea creation using SolidWorks 3D Modeling
  • Prototype Development
  • Proof of process trials

After our conceptual work is complete, the customer has been able to visualize and agree on our solution. Intec submits a proposal which is followed by a PO from the customer. Intec then begins the design phase. Design reviews and approvals ensure that we meet the customer’s expectation prior to starting the manufacturing process. Intec Automation has everything you need under one roof. Approximately half of our workforce are Engineers; many with decades of experience in custom automation.

Mechanical DesignOur mechanical engineers use SolidWorks 3D solid modeling to facilitate their designs. With decades of experience with this design technology, we have realized the benefits of the effectiveness of solid modeling in custom machine building.

Controls DesignThe controls packages for our applications are designed, manufactured and qualified in-house. This allows for the most effective integration with the mechanical features of the machinery. We are accustomed to meeting a wide variety of customer specifications and standards (UL, NFPA 79, NEC, etc.). Our PLC programmers work closely with our machine designers and builders to ensure smooth, error-free machine function and program execution.

Safety DesignIntec performs a hazard-based Safety Risk Assessment. With the aid of custom risk assessment software, our customers safety specifications as well as our own experience, the appropriate safety strategies are applied to the machine design to comply with all current governing standards.

DocumentationThe documentation packages for our machines are complete and are offered to every customer on every project and include:

  • PLC source code
  • Electrical schematics (AUTOCAD)
  • Operator interface programs and screens
  • Vendor literature
  • Operators manuals
  • Engineering drawings for all components
  • Complete Bill of Materials with recommended spare parts lists

At Intec, years of executing successful projects has taught us a lot about design. Let us put our expertise and experience to work for you.

Intec’s demand for high standards doesn’t end with the final design. The project next moves seamlessly into the build phase, where we employ a variety of in-house technologies:

  • Fabrication and CNC Machining with our own full service machine shop and 15,000 sq. ft. build room
  • Mechanical Assembly
  • Controls Assembly
  • UL Panel Building
  • Responsible and professional project management and purchasing and receiving
  • Testing, Debug and Factory Acceptance Trials

As with our design group, the people that make up our manufacturing division are an integral part of our success. Our assembly technicians are very experienced and highly skilled, but most importantly take a lot of pride in what they do. During the build phase of our projects, teamwork between assemblers and the same engineers who worked on the design always assures the best results.
