ROCHESTER – Even in the midst of a pandemic, a local business is making plans for expansion.
Intec Automation is looking to double its manufacturing space, from 15,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet, while remaining in Rochester.
Corey Marcotte, president of Intec, said the company is planning new construction. The business, which manufactures custom machines for all areas of manufacturing, plans to move from 5 Sampson Road to 6 Industrial Way.
“We are excited about our new location,” Marcotte said. “We are working through the city’s approvals and hope to have our building permit in the next couple of weeks and to start laying the foundation. We received initial planning board and other approvals in May. We are just going through the finishing touches. The city has asked for updated drawings, and we are finalizing the wastewater plan.”
