SUMMARY:

Intec Automation, Inc. is an established (20+ years of business), small automation company based in Rochester, NH that specializes in the design and build of custom automation equipment. To support our continued growth, we are looking for an energetic individual to serve as a CNC Machinist (Part Time) to provide programming, set-up, and operation for our CNC machining equipment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program custom fabricated parts from SolidWorks models and prints utilizing CAMWorks software on two different 3-axis milling centers.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings, and 3D models in SolidWorks.
  • Organize method and communicate realistic timelines.
  • Verify conformance of manufactured parts to specifications using measurement tools.
  • Document any changes during manufacture and communicate changes.
  • Occasional operation of manual mill/lathe.
  • Custom setup of fixturing and tooling per job.
  • 5+ years of experience with programming and setup of 3-axis CNC milling machining centers.
  • Shift flexibility.
  • Mastery of high speed machining and tool path optimization.
  • Ability to machine complex and high tolerance components.
  • Materials: aluminum, stainless steel, steel, plastics, other.
  • Passionate about machining.
  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Well organized, strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible, ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with CAM software a must (CAMWorks preferred).

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • A.S. Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering Preferred.
  • Machine Tool Certificate preferred.
  • Equivalent experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to floor, kneel.
  • May occasionally need to lift over 50 Lbs.
  • Normal visual requirements.
  • Normal hearing requirements.
  • Normal manufacturing environment with occasional Exposure to loud noise.
