Electro-Mechanical Technician

SUMMARY:

An automation company specializing in clean-sheet design and build of custom automation machinery is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician. Full-time with benefits. The individual we are seeking must enjoy handling multiple projects, in different phases, at the same time. The company needs a hands-on, detailed individual that is self-motivated. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Operations
  • Lean Manufacturing (5S)
  • Build, Assemble, and Troubleshoot Mechanical and Electrical equipment
  • Shop Organization and Housekeeping
  • Shop Safety

REQUIRED:

  • Must be open minded, energetic and able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to learn quickly and retain information
  • Must be able to work well individually as well as in a team
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, PP, Excel, etc...)
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations

DESIRED:

  • Overall shop experience
  • Electro-mechanical experience and knowledge of manufacturing methods and assembly techniques
  • Experience with set-up, troubleshooting, testing and debugging of different types of machinery
  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications (Electrical and Mechanical)
  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD exposure
  • Milling, and Lathe experience a plus
  • PLC experience a plus

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tech School Degree or other related education a plus, but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs
  • Ability to move around office building and upstairs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers
